Long Wharf - Gateway Community College and the Greater New Haven Convention& Visitors Bureau, are pleased to announce the second annual " Iron Chef - Elm City" on Sunday, April 26th at Noon - 3:00 p.m. to be held at Gateway Community College on 60 Sargent Drive, New Haven. The format will be based on the hugely popular Food Network Iron Chef program and will feature local chefs as participants and prominent culinary experts as the judges. The chefs will be provided with a list of 5 possible "secret" ingredients prior to the event. At the event, the chefs will be notified of the selected ingredient and will be required to create an appetizer, entrée and dessert. The celebrity judges will then evaluate the dishes and a winner will be crowned. Chefs slated to compete are last year’s reining Iron Chef Arturo Franco-Camacho of Bespoke, Rafael Palomino from Pacifico, and Manuel Romero from Ibiza.
